VTU Inter collegiate KHO KHO Tournment at KVGCE

VTU Inter-Collegiate & Inter zonal Kho Kho Tournment for Men and Women will be from 27-29th September 2008 at KVG Play Ground, KVGCE, Sullia. The tournment will be inaugurated by Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, Founder President, AOLE. Shri K.V. Hemanath, Joint secretary, AOLE, and Dr. S.G. Gopala Krishna will also be present during the inaugural ceremony.

The valedictory function for the said event will be held on 29-09-2008 at 4.00 pm with Sri. Arif Alikhan, Director of Physical Education, VTU Belgaum as the chief guest and Sri P. Venkatatraman Gowda as the president. Dr. N.A. Jnanesh, Vice Principal, KVGCE and Mr. Sudheer Shetty, HOD-CS & Sports co-ordinator will also be present on the occasion.

Dr. Renuka Prasad, General Secretary, AOLE, elected as Director for Vokkaligara Sangha

Dr. Renuka Prasad K V., General Secretary, Academy of Liberal Education(R), Sullia, has been reelected as Director of Vokkaligara Sangha.

Welcome function and Engineer's Day celebrations

Welcome function for first semester BE, MBA, MCA & M.Tech has been arranged on 18-09-2008 at 11.00 a.m. Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, Founder President, AOLE, inaugurated the function. Dr.G. Prem kumar, Retd. Principal, CEC Bantwal was the guest of honour. Dr. S.G. Gopala Krishna, Principal, KVGCE and all the heads of various departments were present on the occasion.

Cashless office and Information Kiosk was also inaugurated today by Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda. The said software application was developed by Mr. Anoop Bhargav and his team. Mr. Anoop Bhargav is a Lecturer in Electronics & Communication Engineering department.

KVGCE students won Consolation prize in KSCST project exhibition

The students from Electronics and Communication Engineering have won consolation prize for thier project titled "Multi Lingual Script Recognizer" in the 31st series KSCST exhibition cum seminar, a State level project Exhibiton held at AIT chickmagalore on 29th and 30th of August 2008. The project has been guided by Prof. B.S. Kedilaya, HOD -E&C. The team of students who have developed this project are Miss Ashritha, Miss Aparna, Miss Preethi Rai and Miss. Chitrakala.
