Webinar on Aspirations 2020

A Webinar (Web Enabled Seminar) is organized on ASPIRATIONS 2020 - a contest series from Campus Connect Programme of Infosys Technologies, on 31-3-2008 at 11.00 am. The Webinar covers the objectives of ASPIRATIONS 2020, its roll out plan and the programme details. The purpose is to create a readiness state for participating in this state level contest series.

E-Congregation 2008 - A State Level Technical Paper Presentation Contest

E-Congregation 2008, a State level technical paper presentation contest was be held on 29-03-2008 by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KVGCE, Sullia. Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, Founder President, AOLE, Sullia inaugurated the programme am. Mr. Deshapande, System Manager, L & T , Mysore was the Guest of Honour. Dr. S.G. Gopala Krishna, Principal and Prof. Shree Ganesh Kedilaya, Head - Dept of EC, were present on the occasion.

.NET online test for KVGCE students

Microsoft Corporations(India), in association with BITES, Bangalore has arranged an Online Examination for KVGCE students in Microsoft .NET Technologies on 28.03.2008. About 57 students from Final year of CS & IS have participated in the said test. SQuotients, Bangalore, has provided the logisitics for this test on behalf of Microsoft and BITES.

Marathon by CENSA

CENSA organized a marathon event. More than 300 students from all branches of KVGCE participated in the event.

Toyota opens automotive training centre

Japanese automaker Toyota announced the opening of a technical training institute near India's IT hub Bangalore to provide training in automotive technology to those students who cannot afford higher education. Named Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI), it will act as a platform to impart training on acquiring special manufacturing skills, which is called 'Monozukuri' in Japanese. This institute will not only provide a high standard of education and training in automotive technology but also provide students employment opportunities.

The TTTI will offer students four courses - in Automobile Assembly, Automobile Paint, Automobile Weld and Mechatronics (a combination of mechanical and industrial electronics). It will also impart practical training at the Toyota-Kirloskar Plant to give students a better understanding of Toyota's production system. Students will be given fellowships to promote excellence within the institute.

The institute will receive its first batch of students in August and about 60 students from Karnataka will be selected for the three-year course. The candidates should have passed Class 10.

E-Induction 08 Technical Paper competition by ELECTREA.

ELECTREA - Electrical Engineering Association of KVGCE, Sullia will be organizing a state level technical paper presentation contest "E-INDUCTION 08" on 26th April 2008. Prof. Devadas, Head Department of Electrical Engineering, will be the convener of the event. Mr. Karna Surya sen, Assistant Professor,Electrical Dept, will be the Staff Co-ordinator for the said event.

Dynamech 08- State Level Technical Paper Contest by MEA

Dynamech 2008 - a Technical paper presentation contest has been organized by MEA - Mechanical Engineering Association of KVGCE, Sullia on 16th April 2008. Students from all over Karnataka c.are expected to present their papers in the event. Dr. N A Jnanesh, Vice principal and Head, Mechanical Engineering Department will be the convener of the event. Prof. Thammegowda C S, Assistant Professor, Mech dept will be the Staff Coordinator for the said event.

Combined Campus Selection by Assurgent Technologies

Combined Campus Selection Drive by ASSURGENT TECHNOLOGY SOLNS. PVT. LTD, Hyderbad, (http://www.assurgenttechno.org/ ) for Mangalore Region Engineering Colleges has been organized at KVGCE, Sullia on 18th and 19th of March 2008. Both Final year and Pre-final year students of CS,IS,EC, EE and BT students are participating in the selection drive

MEA Organized a Fire Fighting Training

Mechanical Engineering Association of KVGCE has organized a Fire Fighting Training Programme on 16-03-2008 in association with Keerthi Adventures Institute, Mangalore. About 50 students particpated in the programme. Dr. N A Jnanesh, Vice principal and Head- Mechanical, Prof. Thammegowda C.S. Assistant Professor, and Mr. Prashant D A, Lecturer, Mechanical Department, accompanied the students.

Student Internet World - Certificate of Appreciation from DC, Mangalore

KVG College of Engineering's Student Internet World - 2007, Internet Awareness programme conducted by the Department of IT, BT and ST, Government of Karnataka as part of the BangaloreIT.in 2007, has been duly recognized by the District Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada District.

Date extended for sending papers for e-congregation08

Last Date for submitting papers has been extended upto 23rd March 2008 for e-congregation'08, a state level paper presentation contest in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

SAMCA organized Womens' day on 15-3-2008

Students Association of MCA of KVGCE in association with Inner Wheel Club of Sullia, have organized Women's Day Celebrations on 15.3.2008 at 11.00 am. Smt. Jyoti Gopala Krishna, President, IW Sullia and Dr. Geeta Jnanesh, will be the dignitaries for the said event.

In Connection with Women's Day celebrations, Funny games for Women staff members & girl students of KVGCE have been orgnized on 14-03-2008 at 4.00 pm. Following Funny games were organized.
