Sports Competition on the occasion of 79th Birthday of Dr. KVG

Various competitions were organized on the occasion of 79th Birthday celebrations of Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda. Staff members from various institutions run by Academy of Liberal Educations, were participated in the competition. Cricket, Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Basket Ball and Tug of War competitions were held.

Ph.D for Prof. Ravishankar Bhat, HOD-Maths

Prof. Ravishankar Bhat S, Head of the Department-Maths, KVGCE, has been awarded the coveted Doctoral Award from prestigious National Instiutute of Technology, Surathkal, a Deemed University. His Ph.D thesis entitled "A study of Strong(Weak) Domination and Related Concepts in Graphs" was prepared under the guidance of Dr. Shyam S Kamath, Dept of Mathematical and Computational Sciences(SACA), NITK, Surathkal.

Prof. Ravishankar Bhat, has been working as Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics at KVGCE, Sullia for the last 22 years. He hails from Manchi Village of Bantwal Taluk and is the son of Sri Subraya Bhat and Smt Lakshmi Bhat. He is old student of Govt. primary school, Kukkuje, Sharada High School, Panemangalore and SVS College, Bantwal. He obtained his M.Sc. from Mangalore University. He has presented more than 12 papers in National and International Conferences. Four of his papers have been published in some of the reputed National and International Mathematical journals.
